Guidance to 10th Grade students
Mentoring 10th-grade students at BMC schools through Shrankhala is a rewarding and impactful initiative. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by these students in the bustling environment of municipal schools, our mentoring program aims to provide personalized support, guidance, and encouragement. Our mentors work closely with 10th-grade students, assisting them in academic subjects, career exploration, and personal development. Through one-on-one sessions, workshops, and group activities, we strive to enhance their study skills, boost self-confidence, and instill a passion for learning.
We also provide valuable insights into various career paths.
By actively engaging with 10th-grade students in BMC schools, we aim to empower them with the tools and knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about their future. We believe that through mentorship, we can contribute to breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and inspiring these students to reach their full potential. 30th Sept Motivational Speech by Lt. Cdr. Bijay Nair (Navy Veteran)
Shrankhala also went a step ahead to provide career guidance to students of BMC
School, Mumbai on 30 th September 2023.
For this Shrankhala invited a War Veteran and Motivational Speaker Lt. Commander Bijay Nair to give sessions of career guidance in the Indian Armed Forces.
Lt. Cdr Bijay Nair (retd), a passionate runner; is a commissioned Naval Officer from Naval Academy and served 10 years relinquishing as LtCdr, with many medals and accolades. He has been part of Operation Talwaar since 1999 (famously known as the Kargil war) and is decorated with Ops Vijay Star and Vijay Medal.
The session by Lt. Cdr Bijay Nair was thrilling as well as motivational as he narrated his life’s journey from his childhood till he joined the Indian Navy as an officer. Students got insights about how to join The Indian Armed Forces, the eligibility required and the kind of exams conducted to qualify for the entrance to this field. The session was indeed informative as he told stories of his life and the challenges he met while he was inspired by it and how he overcame all the hurdles in his life to be a successful Army Personnel as well as an Individual.
Mr. Nair Is a proud Veteran Soldier and equally we take pride in him. We are much obliged to him for giving us his valuable time in enlightening us about this respectful job.
Shrankhala promises to hold more such sessions in the near future for the benefit of a variety of students.

Digital Classroom and Library set up
Shrankhala with the implementation partner Think Sharp Foundation inaugurated the Digital Classroom and Library at Abhyudayanagar Municipal Secondary School,Kalachowki,Mumbai on 26 Aug 2023
The School is particularly fortunate to have a Headmaster like Mr Maruti Sherkar who has vision of welfare and growth of students and takes every effort towards it. With his vision and the combined effort of Shrankhala and Think Sharp Foundation team the dream of setting up a library in the school could become a reality.
